Trying to find a toy that pleases everyone is usually a nightmare, but it’s basically a lost cause when you’re dealing with the Huskies over at @siberianderpskies. Leia and her brother Archer recently took part in a little backyard experiment that went south almost immediately. Their dad decided to introduce them to a brand-new “toy” on a sunny day. It turns out that the toy was just a single ice cube. This video shows the pair differ in how they treat it, but they definitely reached consensus that it’s a total fail.

Huskies have different plans with ice cubes given to them as toys

The footage starts with Archer looking completely underwhelmed on the patio. His dad is doing his best hype-man impression, asking if he wants to play with his “new toy,” but Archer just stares at it. He eventually decides the only fun part of an ice cube is crushing it into a billion tiny pieces. One commenter summed it up perfectly: “Archer has the right idea.” He isn’t playing; he’s destroying.

Then there is Leia. She’s lounging on the patio couch like royalty when her dad offers her an ice cube on his palm. She sniffs it and looks away. She literally whines to drive home the point that she is not interested. When her dad tries to start a game of fetch by sliding it across the floor? Zero movement. She stays glued to that couch. “Leia be like, who do you think I am dad?” another viewer joked. She’s a “Wolf Princess,” after all. Fetching a piece of frozen water is beneath her pay grade.

The whole thing ends with their dad basically giving up. Archer is just crunching away while Leia continues her protest. It turns out that two out of two of these pups say absolutely not to the ice life. Dad summarized the whole ordeal by saying Archer just wanted to crush it into something that “no longer resembled its former self.”

It’s just funny how much personality these dogs have. If it’s not a squeaky toy or a treat, Leia is busy. Archer is only interested if he can make a mess. Clearly, the ice cube experiment is a one-and-done for this household.
